CONDITION ASSESSMENT
Assessment Teams reviewed in-depth condition assessments and completed confirmation site walks to provide updated evaluations and a review of educational adequacy. The condition assessments reflect interviews with maintenance and operations staff, existing condition documentation, health/life-safety issues evaluation, Code/ADA compliance, building systems, and visual observations.
Facilities Condition Assessment provides a comprehensive picture of physical conditions and the functional performance of buildings and infrastructure. The objective of the facilities condition assessment is to measure the condition and functionality of a building and its infrastructure in relation to its suitability for intended functions. This assessment is a core component of the facility master planning process, evaluating both the adequacy and equity of existing facilities; determining future program feasibility; identifying imminent facility needs; informing decisions regarding facility reinvestment and/or replacement; and developing and refining budgets and capital improvement plans.
In August 2024 the Tustin Unified School District initiated a comprehensive facility condition assessment for its campuses to guide facility planning and future capital investments. These assessments form the basis of the District’s development of a Long-Range Facilities Master Plan (LRFMP).
