The development of the facility master plan is a participatory process. The planning team has engaged with stakeholders at both the District and site level and, recently,

extended that engagement to the broader community with three in person engagement events held April 24-29.

Community meetings were held at Foothill, Tustin, and Beckman High Schools and gave participants an opportunity to learn about the planning process, provide feedback, and share their ideas for the facility master plan. A key component to the engagement process is providing essential information about school facility master planning and school construction in California. This level of transparency ensures that participants are well informed about the opportunities and constraints when undertaking a long-term planning project. The planning team shared an overview of the planning process, timelines for school construction and approvals, and a look at how school facilities are funded in California.
